Turn your gaming table into a devastated urban district filled with shattered buildings, collapsed floors and makeshift barricades. The Ruined City set includes 7 substantial building ruins and 20 terrain accessories, providing everything needed to create a multi-level battlefield with streets, cover and elevated firing positions.

Four tall corner ruins and the long building section stand approximately 22 cm / 8.7 in high, allowing them to block lines of sight and dominate the surrounding terrain. Accessible interiors and surviving floor sections provide practical positions for miniatures on several levels.

Twelve assorted anti-tank obstacles can be used to close streets and construct fortified defensive positions. Piles of crates, barrels and tyres provide additional cover, while the individual barrel and piano add character and help tell the story of the ruined city.

The buildings are made from laser-cut MDF. They have already been assembled and glued, so no construction is required. All ruins remain unpainted and are ready for individual finishing. The accessories are 3D-printed in resin.

On the Battlefield

The seven freestanding ruins can be arranged as a compact city district, a single block of buildings, devastated suburbs or separate structures positioned along streets and open squares. Their independent design allows the layout to be changed for every battle.

The tall ruins create substantial line-of-sight blockers. Surviving floor sections provide elevated positions for infantry, snipers, observers and support weapons. The open interiors remain easily accessible during play, allowing miniatures to be positioned and moved between different levels.

The long ruin can form the main line of a street or serve as the central location of a scenario. The smaller corner sections work well beside junctions, at the entrances to narrow streets or as isolated cover within a heavily damaged district.

The anti-tank obstacles can be deployed individually or combined into roadblocks protecting defensive positions and forcing vehicles into exposed approaches. Crates, barrels and tyres can be used to create makeshift barricades, supply dumps, objectives and smaller areas of cover.

The piano provides a distinctive narrative detail for a ruined home, hotel, restaurant or concert hall. It adds a glimpse of the building’s former life and creates a memorable feature among the military accessories.

Style and Setting

Regular window openings, surviving multi-storey walls, damaged corners and irregular lines of destruction create the appearance of a city devastated by bombing or intense street fighting.

The set can represent a ruined European city during the Second World War, a modern conflict zone, an abandoned post-apocalyptic district or the remains of an industrial city in a science-fiction setting.

The unfinished MDF surfaces provide a versatile base for painting, adding texture and applying weathering effects. The buildings can be finished as brick tenements, concrete apartment blocks, burned-out industrial structures or futuristic urban ruins.

Materials and Preparation

The ruins are made from precision laser-cut MDF components. Every building has already been assembled and glued, so no construction is required. The surfaces remain unpainted, allowing the buyer to match the colour scheme and degree of weathering to an existing terrain collection.

The anti-tank obstacles, piano, crates, barrels and tyres are 3D-printed in resin. Their raised details can be emphasised with washes, drybrushing, pigments and weathering effects.

The set was assembled and prepared in our family-run workshop in Poland. Behind it are more than 25 years of experience in designing, building and finishing wargaming terrain and miniature scenery.

Scale and Compatibility

The ruins and accessories are designed for tabletop games using 28mm miniatures. Their multi-storey construction supports gameplay both at street level and on the surviving upper floors.

The set works well with games such as Bolt Action, Chain of Command, Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team, Necromunda and Infinity, as well as other historical, modern, post-apocalyptic and science-fiction systems using a similar miniature scale.
